Barack Obama left Brasilia for Rio de Janeiro


The U.S. president, Barack Obama, left on Saturday night from Brasilia to Rio de Janeiro direction for the second leg of his tour of Latin America, according to images broadcast on network TV GloboNews.

The presidential plane Air Force One, carrying President estadonidense and his family, discoloration at 19h15 local time (22h15 GMT) air base in the Brazilian capital, for a flight of approximately three and a half hours.

Obama held a meeting in Brasilia with Brazilian counterpart Dilma Rousseff and made clear his desire to strengthen economic ties between the two countries. In Rio de Janeiro on Sunday pronounced a speech to the Brazilian people in the Municipal Theatre in the heart of the city.

Obama also plans to visit the Corcovado hill where the statue of Christ the Redeemer, and also the favela Cidade de Deus, on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro.
