KFC Replaces 'finger lickin' good' Slogan in UK

Kentucky Fried Chicken or KFC is replacing its well known slogan of 50 years. ‘Finger lickin’ good’ is one of the most successful marketing slogans of the 20th century. Colonel Sanders’s fast-food firm will start using 'so good' as KFC's new slogan for rebranding to a healthier image. They will also start introducing healthier frying oils and food cooked on a griddle instead of in a frier. There are also rumored plans to have calorie content on KFC's menus.

The catchphrase ‘finger lickin’ good’ originated by accident in the 1950s when franchisee David Harman was shown eating chicken and licking his fingers in TV then a viewer called to complain about the incident and spoke to manager Ken Harbough, who replied: 'Well it's finger lickin' good.' That phrase then became KFC's world famous slogan.
